Ballet V (10:30 a.m. Saturdays) — Recommended for ages 13 and up

This ballet class consists of more complicated and demanding barre work, center, and across the floor combinations. Placement, body positions, line, use of the upper body and arms (epaulement), turns, adagio, and jumps are included. Classes teach classical ballet vocabulary, technique, and fluidity of movement with careful attention to the individual needs of each student. Classes are tailored to students needs and development. Two ballet classes weekly are strongly recommended for development of technique by level III.

Body Conditioning for Well-Being (Adult) (5:10 p.m. Mondays) — Recommended for ages 15 and up

A wonderful class based on a system of conditioning exercises (the Nickolaus Technique) which is similar to a mixture of Pilates and Yoga. It is very helpful for back problems, core body strength, flexibility and general conditioning. These exercises are done with deep abdominal breathing and are mostly lying and sitting. Inspiring music is incorporated into the class which flows smoothly from one series to the next. Basic dance technique is incorporated into the 2nd part of the class depending on students needs and desires.
